Recreational League
Wednesdays 6-7:30PM | 7:30-9PMRecreational League
This league is for players who know the basic rules. These players consistently serve and return the ball. These players know how to actively work with their partner. These players are working to improve the variety and accuracy of their shots as well as strategy. This league will be 4 weeks long. Sign-up as an individual or with a preferred partner.
Guidelines:
- 6 players per court
- Player assignments provided upon arrival
- 4 players on the court and 2 players waiting in the holding position
- Games will be rally scoring
- Play 2 games and then you will rest 1 game (holding position)
- Once you have played two games in a row, you return to the holding position and the two resting players will come in – after the first game, someone needs to rotate out to the holding position to allow the rotation to work properly
- You may remain with the same team mate or switch team mates as your group decides throughout the session.
Competitive League
Thursdays 7:30-9PMCompetitive League
This league is for players who are very familiar with the game and play frequently. These players typically play at the non-volley line and are able to convert a hard shot to a soft shot. They are consistent with drop shots and dink shots. These players know how to actively work with their partner to cover tough shots. These players are working to improve their strategy and technique. This league will be 4 weeks long. Sign-up as an individual or with a preferred partner.
Guidelines:
- 4 players per court
- To begin, have 4 players per court and 2 players in the holding position.
- Games will be rally scoring
- The winning team will move to Court #2- winner’s court
- The losing team will move to the holding position and the holding position team will enter on Court #1 – learner court
- This rotation continues with the following exception:
- If a team wins 2 games on the winner court in a row, they will move to the holding position and can make their way back to the winner court by winning on the learner court.
- You may remain with the same team mate unless the group decides they prefer to split team mates each game. This will be the coordinators discretion.
